Porn Stars Don’t Even Pay For Porn!

It’s a sad world we live in when gay porn stars don’t even pay for gay porn.

I guess Aden Jaric was super horny on Saturday. And he loves him some Bel Ami. Sometime Saturday evening, Aden posted this tweet:

[blackbirdpie url=”http://twitter.com/#!/EricJames81/status/87669654901886976″]

I thought it was strange when I first read it. Not that I hadn’t seen it many many many times before, but more so due to the fact that it was from a gay porn star. That tweet erupted a mini-Twitter fire and ruffled a few people’s feathers, most notably @PornBiatch, and Samuel Colt.

Samuel posted tweets asking Aden why he would do / say such a thing, to which Aden responded:

[blackbirdpie url=”http://twitter.com/#!/EricJames81/statuses/87672056031887360″]

Samuel Colt then went on to explain to Aden was that the piracy of porn was one of the reasons scene rates for performers were so low, and that if he wanted a password, he should just buy one. Aden responded with the fact that since he has left the performing side of the business, he doesn’t have to worry about that anymore.

Clearly, Aden Jaric didn’t realize the further-reaching consequences of his actions, but that, along with that “you’re always being watched” statement could make for a completely different blog post. That’s beside the point. The point is that porn piracy is so rampant, that as @JuicyGigolo states, even porn stars are “advocating the piracy of intellectual property in your own industry”. This would be akin to a music star (a la Lady Gaga) downloading music off of Limewire, or Pirate Bay, to use for her consumption.

This is a sad day for gay porn. But this story isn’t over. Let us know what you think.

Well, in Aden Jaric's (@EricJames) defense, he's NOT a porn performer anymore if you read his DNA interview, and i doubt he receives residuals from the work he's already done. And perhaps he, like a lotta others, just couldn't afford to pay the porn prices. #JusSayin

It may be a defense, but it's a bad defense. It's not like the industry owes him anything, and just because he used to be a model doesn't make it right. Most porn pirates haven't worked in the industry, and it doesn't mean he's any better than them.

It's also a matter of asking so publicly. It's like saying "Hey I'm about to break the law with no remorse. Anyone wanna help me?"

And if he had no money, maybe he should get a job, or perhaps not be so blatant in his asking.

You don't see washed up music acts, a la Lindsey Lohan saying "I haven't listened to music in ages!! What should I download off of Pirate Bay?!!?!"

Well, I speak as a former performer and I have never made it a secret that I long ago stopped paying for gay porn, even while I was a performer. For one, it is MORONICALLY over-priced compared to straight porn. Also, be it a White guy with another White guy, or a big-dicked Black dude fucking a twink, it's featuring the same people over and over again doing the same thing over and over again. With that being the case, I had to come to my senses, realize, and start spreading the word of how until that changes, gay porn will NOT be worth your money.

Samuel Colt can try using that excuse that piracy is the reason rates for performers are going down. But everything I just stated is why piracy is so heavy with gay porn. Maybe if studio-heads would stop being such greedy pigs (in the worst way), steady taking more money while the performers get NO residuals, even for use of their likeness in photos, then maybe the studios would get some good karma. Otherwise, it's going to keep biting the industry in the ass, and rightfully so. That is until someone wakes up and realizes the reason as to why straight porn in stores is still making money while in the gay porn section of porn shops…crickets chirp.

@lenairxavier, there is absolutely no defense for stealing. Most men think that Gillette Mach3 replacement razors are MORONICALLY overpriced. Is it ok to steal replacement blades from Walmart? The quality of the Olive Garden's food is often debated, is it ok to have a meal there, decide that you didn't enjoy and then leave without paying?

Using your logic, it's ok to steal a product or service if the quality is sub-par, you don't agree with industry standards or you feel that the management is "greedy?"

You often call yourself a model. What residuals are you getting for your work? When you get modeling jobs, do you not sign Model Release Agreements?

Lastly, as you know, your friend @juicygigolo recently launched his own porn company. I would love to witness your conversation. "Chase, congratulations on your new company, but dude, I'm not going to be a customer, I'll just get your stuff from one of the tube sites!"

Your logic is middle school level–at best.

Re: "And perhaps he, like a lotta others, just couldn't afford to pay the porn prices. "

I just looked – Aden could have gone to AEBN and rented Bel Ami's The Private Life of Ralph Woods for $7.95 and watched it continuously for two days. That's unaffordable? Porn is affordable, IF you choose to pay for it.

The point is that this individual worked in a part of the entertainment industry for a period of time, yet failed to grasp it's biggest competitive threat. (Note as what happened to his employer…) Either way, this is an exhibit of either his intelligence level or him as a person.

Nailed! Very good blog post! -Steve

I completely agree with you 100%. I mean, seriously — in this day and age, with all the hoohah surrounding piracy and all the counter measures put into place to control it, you'd think people would just understand that pirating is a bad thing. It'd be like Britney Spears asking for another music artists CD for free — total bullshit! I think that porn is affordable. I use Groovy Movies — they've got x amount of hours for x amount of dollars. And I'll tell ya, I can make those hours stretch if I preview a movie and then decide, " Yes this is the one " — what is he doing, jacking off for like 2 hours?

He’s obviously a broke idiot. Considering he spent enough time in the business to understand how irresponsible his comments are.

@LeNairXavier If you know as much about the business as you claim to, you have missed some pretty important points.

The expansion of technology is moving so rapidly that no-one can keep up. The moment you shut down one piracy source, 1000 others pop up around the world.

You also need to bear in mind that the expansion of technology has made it possible for just about anyone to broadcast themselves online, which of course dilutes the market value of quality produced offerings.

Straight porn is dealing a lot better with the transition in the market than the gay side of things (but make no mistake, they are still struggling).

They also have the advantage of being a bigger market, with a wider variety of performers and consumers.

Porn “stars” do not exist anymore. The mystery and mystique that was once there is long gone. While there’s millions of exhibitionists online willing to get their meat and two vege out for 10 bucks, nothing is going to change.

    • http://twitter.com/LeNairXavier @LeNairXavier

I didn't miss any important points. For one, I'm simply not trying to write a post within a post. I could have included those points, but those are one that are too obvious, and have been repeated over and over again, and since I knew someone like yourself was going to come along and try to pretend that they had such business know-how're by stating those most obvious of reasons that the industry is struggling. I purposely chose to highlight the reasons that most people, ESPECIALLY those in the industry, are either too blind, ignorant, and/or chicken shit to bring to light.

Furthermore, I could accuse you of plagiarism, because when you say that straight porn has "…a wider variety of performers…", all you are doing is re-wording and shortening my point that reads:
"Also, be it a White guy with another White guy, or a big-dicked Black dude fucking a twink, it's featuring the same people over and over again doing the same thing over and over again."

      • http://www.twitter.com/captaingroove captaingroove

You have taken my comments out of context and tried to apply them to your argument.

What I actually said was that there is a bigger market of performers AND consumers. That’s supply and demand mate.

Now you can run around crying wolf about the lack of racial diversity amongst gay performers, but it’s a pretty small pond.
The truth is: studio’s are producing what sells. With a recession still very real, and the market recovering from a pretty significant down turn, it’s not the time to be taking risks on niches.

So based on your initial comments, when performers start getting paid more and there is more investment in niches you will start paying for porn again??? Pull the other one.

  • Jesse

You call yourself an author and can't bang out a coherent sentence or two: "I could have included those points, but those are one that are too obvious, and have been repeated over and over again, and since I knew someone like yourself was going to come along and try to pretend that they had such business know-how're by stating those most obvious of reasons that the industry is struggling."

Don't even get me started on your comment about plagiarism!

  • Telly

Let's see, the support for stealing someone's property:

Tariq – "…just couldn't afford to pay the porn prices."

LeNair Xavier – "…it is MORONICALLY over-priced compared to straight porn. " "Also, be it a White guy with another White guy, or a big-dicked Black dude fucking a twink, it's featuring the same people over and over again doing the same thing over and over again."

So if you're broke, don't agree with the prices or don't like the content, it's alright to steal anything you want.

YASSSSSSSSSSSSSS for calling him out. These ppl be going on an on about piracy…ppl taking away money from their pockets but they don't practice what they preach. Shame on Eric James…and i hope Bel Ami sees this.

    • http://twitter.com/gaypornfanatic @gaypornfanatic

haha. Sadly, I don't think Bel Ami or Aden Jaric has seen this. Oh well though.

      :-O indeed.

  • critical eye

aden has NO brains but a good body, a duivine ass to be fucked and he should be back in the bizz coz that's the only thing he's good for: getting fucked on screen. I liked him for that and miss his talents

  • http://twitter.com/seaguy11 @seaguy11

Sounds like Aiden thinks his shit don't stink and he does not have to pay for porn because of who he is. Especially with his lack of concern for the future of the industry or the pay his former costars receive. What a pompous ass.

    • http://twitter.com/gaypornfanatic @gaypornfanatic

The lack of concern also…concerned me. And thinking he is above everyone else.
